What we collect and why
Analytics. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics records how the site is used, such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type, using a random identifier rather than your name. We use it to understand which pages are useful. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Contact and corrections forms and email. If you use the contact or corrections form or email us, we receive your email address, your message and any other details you give. Cloudflare Turnstile checks form submissions for automated abuse. We use this to reply to you and keep the site accurate. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and protecting the forms.
Site delivery and security. Cloudflare processes technical connection data, including your IP address, to deliver pages and protect the site. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running a secure website.
Who handles the information
Our processors are Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics), Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, security and Turnstile), Postmark (ActiveCampaign, LLC), which delivers form submissions by email, and our mail server for hello@energystack.uk. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
International transfers
These providers may process information in the United States and other countries outside the UK. Transfers are protected by UK adequacy regulations, including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or by the International Data Transfer Addendum to the Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics data is kept for no more than 14 months. Form submissions and emails are kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange with you, unless needed for a correction record, a legal claim or a legal obligation. Postmark keeps form emails for 45 days. Cloudflare keeps technical logs for short periods under its own security policies.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or erase your personal information, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. Some rights apply only in certain circumstances. Send requests to hello@energystack.uk and we will respond within one month.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator.
